Cairo first, then south to Luxor — where the sky goes completely dark over the courts of Karnak. The days that follow take you through the Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut's temple, and the Valley of the Queens, before a return to Cairo for the Citadel, the markets of Khan el-Khalili, and a final day face to face with the Pyramids themselves.

    Land in Cairo, transfer to your hotel with views of the Pyramids, and check in for your first night in Egypt. The rest of the day is free for you to rest and settle in before the week ahead.

    Breakfast with the Pyramids in view, a quiet morning before the journey south, then a short flight into Upper Egypt. By evening you're standing among the colossal statues of Ramses II at Luxor Temple, lit against the dark — your first taste of the temples that made this civilization eternal.

  • Karnak Temple · Total Solar Eclipse
    The largest temple complex ever built, and the sky above it about to disappear. Over 6 minutes of total darkness — the longest solar eclipse on land this century — witnessed from the same stone courts where pharaohs once worshipped. This is the day the whole trip was built around.

  • Valley of the Kings · Hatshepsut Temple · Colossi of Memnon
    The tombs of the pharaohs, painted in full color 3,000 years ago. Hatshepsut's mortuary temple carved into the cliffs. A morning on the west bank of the Nile that rewrites everything you thought you knew about ancient Egypt.


  • Domestic Flight · Hotel Check-In
    Back to Cairo, where a medieval fortress looks out over a city of twenty million. Wander the alleys of Khan el-Khalili afterward, where spice, silver, and centuries of bargaining still fill the air.

  • Pyramids of Giza · Grand Egyptian Museum
    The last great wonder of the ancient world, seen up close, with nothing left to rush toward — followed by the newly opened Grand Egyptian Museum, home to the full Tutankhamun collection under one roof for the first time ever. A full day with one of only five certified GEM guides in the country — the closest look at Egypt you'll ever get.

  • Transfer to Airport
    One last look at Cairo before the flight home. You came for six minutes of darkness — you leave with a week that won't fade nearly as fast.
